June 08, 2012
Aaron McCusker leads the company of
The Importance of Being Earnest at The Lyric Belfast.
Aaron, who is best known for his performance as Jamie McGuire in Channel 4’s award winning drama
Shameless, plays Algernon in Oscar Wilde’s classic comedy of errors.
Jack and Algernon are two young men looking for an escape from social obligation. Rich, bored and on the lookout for love, they indulge in a witty and dangerous past time; pretending to be something that they are not. When both men sham to be the mysterious Earnest, mishaps and mayhem are bound to ensue - especially when they are trying to woo Cecily and Gwendolyn.
