Adam Penenberg is a contributing writer for Fast Company and a professor of journalism at New York University.

He is the author of two previous books, Spooked and Tragic Indifference. His latest, Viral Loop: From Facebook to Twitter, How Today's Smartest Businesses Grow Themselves (Hyperion, 2009) featured extensively in the best books of 2009 reviews with Jeff Jarvis, author of What Would Google Do, writing "Buy this book. Catch a virus. Make a fortune."

He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
