Alastair is a writer/director who is currently working on a documentary feature about the TED prize winning artist JR and his global art project Inside Out
Alastair's debut feature, the documentary Turn It Loose premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival 2009 and has been picked up for theatrical release by MK 2 Diffusion. Turn It Loose explores the hopes and aspirations of six young b-boys from all over the world in the run up to the break dancing BC One championships held in a disused power station in Soweto, South Africa. Sight and Sound called the film 'a jaw-droppingly visual feast of human movement and a nail-bitingly competitive battle of urban gladiatorial style. Not to be missed'.
Alastair has directed many music videos featuring artists such as Roots
Manuva and The Streets as well has working extensively in television
documentary on projects including the award-winning Country Strife: A Summer wtih the Johnsons.
