Alex Polizzi resumes her quest to save some of the UK's worst hotels in the eighth series of The Hotel Inspector, which returns to Channel 5  on Monday evenings at 9pm from 3 October.

As an award-winning hotelier, and as the granddaughter of Lord Forte and niece of Sir Rocco Forte, Alex Polizzi has all of industry experience needed to turn flagging hotels and some of the worst-run bed-and-breakfasts in the country into profitable ventures.

In the first episode, Alex comes to the rescue of Milton Lodge, a hotel in Dorset with a declining occupancy rate. With six acres of beautiful grounds, an outdoor pool, stables and it's own cricket pitch, it has huge potential but it's apprehensive owners have lived in the lodge for over 20 years and treat the place like their own home. Could the answer to their problems lie in their forward-thinking young assistant?
