Amanda Abbington returns as DCI Louise Monroe in the second series of Case Histories.

In the new series, DCI Monroe once again teams up with Jackson Brodie and the first episode focuses on a child snatching case in Munich in the 1970’s that still haunts Brodie to this day. Monroe and Brodie get their chance to atone for his error three decades earlier when a search for a woman’s birth parents turns up some unexpected answers that go to the heart of serious corruption within the Police force, offering the prospect of closure.

The second series, which is again set in Edinburgh, is made up of three ninety minute episodes.

Amanda has very nearly finished finishing filming on the latest series of Sherlock and then jumps straight into the second series of Mr Selfridge, returning as head of accessories Miss Mardle.

The latest episode is available on BBC I-Player.
