Biography

Aneil is a director and graduate of the National Film and Television School.

Credits include E4's Misfits (online content), Horrible Histories and BBC comedy sketch show LOL. His graduation film, Spilt Milk, won the RTS Student Award and sketches from the show have since been broadcast by the BBC. The film garnered interest from Broadcast Magazine who named Aneil as one of their Hotshots in 2009.


Aneil's short film Beat, is produced by 59 Productions and stars Ben Whishaw. It has featured as part of the Edinburgh Film Festival, Encounters Film Festival, Melbourne, Rhode Island and Warsaw International Film Festivals. Aneil won the UWE European New Talent Award for Beat at Encounters 2013. For more information on Beat, visit the film's website here.

Aneil has just finished directing Tag written by Katherine Chandler for BBC Drama's iPlayer shorts. You can watch the short here.

As a commercials director he has worked for such high profiles brands as Nintendo and La Senza and his work in this field has earned him a nomination for the Cannes Lion Young Director Award.

Aneil was recently named a UK Star of Tomorrow 2014 by Screen International.
