Artem Chigvintsev

Originally born in Moscow, Russia, Artem Chigvintsev is a renowned dancer and choreographer on both sides of the Atlantic.

Artem began his career competing in open competitions all over the world and launched his TV career appearing as a contestant on America's So You Think You Can Dance.  Having got down to the final stages of the competition in the first series, Artem returned as a guest choreographer for series 2.

Following this, Artem appeared on many American shows, as both a dancer and actor, including, The OC, America's Got Talent and The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and was last seen on American screens as a dancer and choreographer in Dancing With The Stars.

On arrival in England he was immediately hired by the BBC to be one of three new dancers on series 8 of Strictly Come Dancing.  Favourites throughout the competition, Artem and his celebrity partner Kara Tointon, went on to win the series.

Artem remained a firm favorite for the BBC, going on to guest choreograph for the flagship summer show So You Think You Can Dance.
