Ben Lewis

Ben is a writer for theatre, radio and TV and also works as a stage director.

He has written two plays for Radio 4, Tiny and Blue Sky Thinking, and is currently developing a comedy series in collaboration with Catherine Shepherd.

With Dafydd James, he created the award-winning music theatre show My Name Is Sue and the pair have just written and toured a new musical The Village Social for the National Theatre of Wales. He is currently part of the 'Soho 6' new writing scheme at the Soho Theatre.

Ben is also joint artistic director of theatre company Inspector Sands, co-creating their two award-winning shows; If That’s All There Is and Hysteria which have toured extensively in the UK and to countries including the USA, China, Russia, Germany, Romania and Armenia. The company's most recent show, Mass Observation, played at the Almeida as part of the Almeida Festival.
