Benjamin Fry read physics and philosophy at Oxford University and is now a psychotherapist, teacher, writer and TV presenter. He developed an interest in psychotherapy and other areas of personal growth during extensive and varied personal treatment. He initially studied psychotherapy at Regent's College, London in 1998-9 and is currently working towards a doctorate in psychotherapy there.
He wrote the book
What's Wrong With You (Maraki Books 2004) and the eponymous column in
The Saturday Times Body&Soul section. He wrote the regular feature Fast Therapy in
Psychologies magazine, in which he highlighted his own therapeutic technique live in session with a reader. He co-presented the BBC television series
SpendaholicsFreaky Eaters as the on-screen psychotherapist. He was a member of the Centre for Social Justice's commission for early years development and is chairman of their commission on Mental Health. He trains individuals to work with his method under the consumer brand Happy Hour. He also has a private practice in Harley Street.
