Kate grew up in a wild and beautiful part of Devon, and was first published while at school. After reading Philosophy at Durham and Art History at the Courtauld Institute, she worked as an art consultant, curating collections for palaces and embassies in Europe and the Middle East, and she was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.  After travelling around the world, and many moves thanks to her husband's job as an airline pilot, Kate now lives in Hampshire with her young family. She has been published internationally, and is studying for an MA in Creative Writing. Kate is a finalist in the ITV's The People's Author competition 2009.
