Tim Binding is a successful novelist and a former Publisher and Editorial Director of both Penguin and Simon & Schuster.

He is the author of In the Kingdom of Air (Jonathan Cape 1993); A Perfect Execution (Picador 1996); Island Madness (Doubleday 1999), set on Guernsey during the Second World War; On Ilkley Moor (2001) Anthem (2003), and Man Overboard (2005), all published by Picador.

Born in Germany in 1947, Tim lives in Kent with his wife and daughter and also co-wrote, with Simon Nye, the comedy series The Last Salute for the BBC in 1998.

Tim's most recent novel, Cliffhanger, was published by Picador in 2008.
