Tracy Chevalier
Tracy Chevalier grew up in Washington, DC. She moved to England at the age of 22 and worked for several years as a reference book editor. In 1994, she graduated from the University of East Anglia with an MA in Creative Writing.
She followed her first novel, The Virgin Blue (2005), with the internationally bestselling Girl with a Pearl Earring (1999), which was adapted into an Oscar-nominated film and a West End stage production. Her subsequent novels, Falling Angels (2001), The Lady and the Unicorn (2003) and Burning Bright (2007) have all met with public and critical acclaim. She lives in London with her husband and son.
Her latest novel, Remarkable Creatures, is published by HarperCollins in 2009.
