Norman Lebrecht
Norman Lebrecht is a renowned modern commentator on music, culture and politics. His weekly column in The Evening Standard has been described as ‘required reading' and his BBC Radio 3 show, Lebrecht Live, attracts web-listeners from Buenos Aires to Budapest. His many non-fiction books include The Maestro Myth, When the Music Stops, Mahler Remembered and Covent Garden: The Untold Story.
The Song of Names was his first novel, published by Headline in 2003.
His most recent non-fiction books are Maestros, Masterpieces and Madness: The Secret Life and Shameful Death of the Classical Record Industry (2007) and Game of Opposites (2009).
