Carol Topolski has done a myriad of jobs, from film censoring for the British Board of Film Classification to running a day nursery, working in advertising to teaching in a top security prison. She is now a practicing psychoanalyst and a successful author.  Carol has based her first book, the critically-acclaimed Monster Love (Penguin, 2007), on her many diverse and extraordinary experiences.

Carol's latest novel will be published by Penguin in 2009.

Carol has two children and one grand-daughter and lives in London with her husband
