John le Carré is leading a stellar line-up of authors at this year's Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival, which will run from 20th to 28th March in Christ Church.

He is giving a lecture in the Sheldonian Theatre and will be presented with the 2010 Sunday Times Award for Literary Excellence. Fellow literary heavyweights appearing at the festival include Hilary Mantel, Phillip Pullman and AS Byatt.

John le Carré's most recent book, A Most Wanted Man, received widespread critical acclaim and was an international bestseller. His next novel will be published by Penguin in Autumn 2010.
