Broken premieres in Cannes

May 16, 2012

Broken premieres on Thursday 17th May at Espace Miramar as the opening film of Cannes Critics Week.

The film, based on the novel by Daniel Clay has been adapted for the screen by Mark O’Rowe, and marks a directorial debut from Rufus Norris. Broken stars Tim Roth, Cillian Murphy, Rory Kinnear, Robert Emms, Bill Milner and introduces to the screen, Eloise Laurence as Skunk.

Broken has been produced by Nick Marston, Tally Garner and Dixie Linder from Cuba Pictures alongside Bill Kenwright and BBC Films. Cuba previously made the award winning Boy A, which was also adapted by Mark O'Rowe.

'It’s marvellously atmospheric. We all know Roth and his cast mates Cillian Murphy, Rory Kinnear, Denis Lawson and Robert Emms are superb actors, but Eloise’s performance is the great surprise: she’s sublime.' Baz Bamigboye, Daily Mail
