Clara is a writer for screen and stage.

She has recently written a feature-length Janis Joplin biopic for Film 4, with Michelle Williams attached to star, and is adapting Jami Attenberg's hit novel St Mazie for television with Fable Pictures.

As a playwright, Clara's work has been performed at the Soho Theatre, Southwark Playhouse, York Theatre Royal, The Duke's Theatre, the Arcola Theatre and the Traverse Theatre. Notable productions include Boa starring Dame Harriet Walter and Guy Paul at the Trafalgar Studios, and the critically acclaimed Spine, which was a Fringe First winner in 2014 and winner of the Herald Angel Award, at the Soho Theatre.
