David is a comedy writer, performer and director who has written and appeared in some of the most iconic programmes of recent years.

A familiar face from TV, he wrote and appeared in Alan Partridge; Knowing Me, Knowing You, The Day Today and Friday Night Armistice. David featured in films as varied as Mission Impossible and Horrid Henry. The second series of his sitcom Births, Deaths and Marriages in which he starred, recently aired on Radio 4.

He directed Josh Widdicombe's series Josh a six part sitcom for BBC 3 starring Josh himself alongside Jack Dee, which was critically-acclaimed when it broadcast in 2015. He has just shot series 2.

An avid tweeter with more than 264,000 followers, David recently set up his own social media agency called That Lot, providing content for brands and businesses as well as giving workshops and talks on social media at various industry and academic events. His recent TEDx Talk - 'Is the Internet Making Us More Stupider' - will be online soon.

More recently, he has co-written the film Death of Stalin with Armando Iannucci, starring Steve Buscemi and Jeffrey Tambor.

He is strongly assisted, however, by...David Schneider as the absurdly sinister Lycus.
