When Jack sees Betty in a play he is struck dumb by her resemblance to Martha and hires her to go and stay in his house in France as Martha, playing the part of loving spouse. But Betty finds her method acting takes her to dark places… specifically the truth about Martha’s suicide and the terrible acts she committed beforehand.
