Lawrence Till is a BAFTA and RTS nominated Producer & Director with a background in award winning theatre, with over fifteen years’ experience as an Artistic Director directing plays by new and established writers. He won a Writers' Guild Award for his encouragement of writers and has commissioned over forty new plays.
He was an Award Winning Artistic Director of the Octagon Theatre, Bolton (1991 to 1999) and Watford Palace Theatre (1999 to 2006).
His International work includes The Mysteries in Caceres Spain, Peter Shaffer’s Black Comedy for the National Theatre of Turkey and Eclipse by Simon Armitage at the Sydney Opera House for the Royal National Theatre.
Lawrence showran and directed the multi award-winning series Shameless for Channel 4/Company Pictures and directed the second series of Beaver Falls for Company Pictures/E4, produced Love and Marriage for Tiger Aspect/ITV1 and directed series three of ITV's Mr Selfridge, after directing on the second series. Most recently Lawrence produced Moira Buffini's series Harlots for ITV Encore and Hulu, and the second series of The Frankenstein Chronicles. He also wrote The Big Corner for the Bolton Octagon.
