Lee is a hugely talented comedy & entertainment writer, creating jokes, sketches and scripts for Britain’s funniest and favourite performers. A staff writer for the late Sean Lock for 15 years, Lee has also worked regularly with Ant & Dec, Dawn French, Jonathan Ross, Romesh Ranganathan, Jimmy Carr, Stephen Mulhern, Miranda Hart, Frank Skinner, Jo Brand, James Corden, David Baddiel, Sue Perkins, Patrick Kielty, Richard Osman, Claudia Winkleman, Michael McIntyre,
Stephen Fry and many others.
Recent credits include I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here (ITV1), 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4), Love Not War: A Christmas Concert (Sky Arts), Saturday Night Takeaway (ITV1) and Patrick Kielty’s Borderline: A Postcard from the Edge of The Union (BBC Radio 4).
A full-time writer since 2002, Lee has also helped develop several hit shows, including Argumental for Dave, and Claudia Winkleman's Hot Gossip for BBC Radio 2, and currently has several of his own projects in development, including a sitcom, a panel show and a daytime quiz.
Lee’s debut novel, Words Best Sung, was described by Pete Paphides as “a quite spectacular debut", and Andy Miller said, "I very much enjoyed this debut novel. If you're a fan of Billy Liar, going down to London and the Kinks, so will you." Lee has recently completed his second novel.
