Liz
Lewin
Executive Producer for Television
Liz Lewin is currently a commissioner in Sky's drama team, where she oversees a small (but beautifully formed!) slate of provocative dramas. From this slate has emerged The End by Samatha Strauss (See-Saw Films) and I Hate Suzie created by Lucy Prebble and Billie Piper (Bad Wolf), both of which she executive produced for Sky. Alongside her commissioning role Liz has developed and executive produced three series of the award winning Derry Girls with Lisa McGee and Caroline Leddy. Derry Girls is the culmination of her long standing working relationship with Lisa McGee - which started when they made the BBC pilot The Things I Haven't Told You together over ten years ago.
Before Derry Girls and Sky, Liz worked with some of the best British writers around (Sally Wainwright, Kay Mellor, Tony Basgallop, Sue Townsend, Stephen Beresford) but also really enjoyed developing with newer writers, including Joe Barton early in his career. She script edited four series of iconic Channel 4 show Teachers, produced London Irish and E4 show Beaver Falls and executive produced season 3 of My Mad Fat Diary, and Phoebe Waller Bridge's Crashing. She was a Comedy Commissioner at Channel 4 overseeing a range of shows including Caitlin and Caz Moran's Raised by Wolves before moving into the Drama Commissioning team at 4, where she looked after, amongst others, Ackley Bridge and The End of the F***ing World.
