Liz Lewin started out as a reader for Tessa Ross and Lucy Richer at the BBC. She then went to Tiger Aspect where as well as working on shows like Teachers, and developing the American pilot of The Things I Haven't Told You, she also developed drama and comedy drama for Channel 4, BBC and ITV. During this time she worked with a diverse range of writers including Sally Wainwright, Sue Townsend, Stephen Beresford, Lisa Mcgee, Tony Basgallop, Jack Lothian, Tim Allsop and Stewart Williams. After working for Paul Schlesinger in BBC in-house comedy, and Kate Harwood in BBC in-house drama, she moved to Company Pictures.
Liz series produced E4 comedy-drama Beaver Falls, which aired for two series, and while working as an in-house producer at Company Pictures produced comedy series London Irish for Channel 4. After working as a commissioning editor at Channel 4 for a year, Liz exec-produced comedy series Crashing for Big Talk, and the third series of Mad Fat Diary for Tiger Aspect before returning to comedy commissioning with Channel 4. Liz is now working as a commissioner in Channel 4’s drama department, while exec-producing new comedy by Lisa McGee; Derry Girls with Hat Trick.
