The
Dawson
Brothers
The Dawson Brothers – strictly speaking two brothers, Steve and Andrew, and the adopted Tim Inman – are a team of comedy writers who have written extensively for some of the most loved and most watched shows and talent in British television.
Their sketch for The One Ronnie on BBC1 starring Ronnie Corbett and Harry Enfield is the most viewed BBC clip online. Their own sketch show for BBC3, Funtime, was nominated for a Rocky Award at the Banff International Television Festival and they’ve written Comic Relief sketches for amongst others Daniel Craig, Russell Brand and Kate Moss.
The trio co-wrote (with David Walliams) two series of the popular BBC1 comedy series Big School, starring Walliams, Catherine Tate, Francis de la Tour and Philip Glenister. They continued to collaborate with David – their retelling of fairy tales After Ever After has returned to Sky with hugely successful reimagining of Cinderella after she marries her prince.
They have written a big family film for Working Title based on a classic brand. And they are currently writing an original comedy for Working Title and developing more comedy films in the UK and the US.
