The Dan Dare Corporation Ltd owns the global media rights to the classic British comic Eagle. This includes Dan Dare – the most successful comic character in the history of publishing in the UK – as well as other key comic strips such as Doomlord, Ghost Squad, Computer Warrior, Manix, Storm Force and Ultimate Warrior, and of course the Eagle's decades of classic artwork.
Dan Dare himself, created by English artist Frank Hampson, appeared in full colour on the front and inside page of the Eagle throughout the 1950s and 60s and inspired a generation. He was reborn in 2002 as an animated television series for Channel 5 in the UK and international syndication through Nickleodeon. He also fronted a major Science Museum exhibit in London, 2008-10 – a show so successful it was extended three times - and will soon come to the big screen in a major Warner Bros live-action feature film.
The characters, properties art and features of the Eagle are now celebrated in a wide range of books – whether for collectors, enthusiasts and boys of all ages.
