Daniel Rosenthal


Daniel Rosenthal was born in London in 1971. He has, since 2001 lectured on Shakespeare and film as a BFI Associate Tutor, and taught at the University of California Summer School, Pembroke College, Cambridge – the college he himself attended – since 2006.

He was editor of International Film Guide, the annual world cinema almanac, 2002–06, and is a freelance interviewer and feature writer on film and theatre, contributing to The Times, Daily Telegraph, Independent, Independent on Sunday, Observer, Evening Standard and TES.

He is the authorized biographer of the National Theatre, and has interviewed many of the greatest stage performers and directors of the last half century.
