David Belton

David Belton is a writer, director and producer.

He worked as a producer/director at Newsnight before moving on to Executive Produce Correspondent and most recently the acclaimed drama series Ten Days to War with Ronan Bennett,  nominated for Best Drama-Documentary at the UK's most prestigious documentary prize, the Grierson Awards.

He is also the producer of Shooting Dogs which was based on real events that had taken place during the Rwandan genocide. The film has been released in more than sixty countries to great critical acclaim.

David returns to this subject is his first book, Beyond All That in which he tells the story of Vjeko Curic, a Croatian Priest who saved up to 5,000 Rwandans during the genocide, before being shot on the side of the road two years later. The book will be published by Transworld.
