Eugene is an accomplished young Irish actor and writer and co-founder of documentary film company, Turnturle Films & Media, with award-winning journalist Clare Dwyer Hogg (Observer, Independent) and Grammy award-winning producer Anna Brunoro.

As an actor, he has worked alongside the likes Victoria Wood, Frank McGuinness, Roddy Doyle, Colm Meaney and Kevin Spacey, with whom he made his Broadway debut in 2007. His first play, Memoirs of a Dead Man, co-written at the age of 19, was a critically acclaimed piece based on the life of Bulgakov during the Stalinist regime and current theatre projects include Sydney & the Old Girl, which has Philip Breen as director, and Only Good People Love Bach. Both plays received readings at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. His third play The Weatherman has just been completed.

Eugene also writes for TV and film. His two short films The Beating Stick and The Old Familiar were produced by Turnurtle and starred Tony Rohr. He is currently developing an original two-part drama, called Shopping for Boys. His new feature-length documentary, Casualties of Peace, produced by Turnurtle, is currently being edited.
