Fiona Evans is an award winning playwright.

Her debut play, Scarborough, won a Fringe First in 2007 and the following year transferred to the Royal Court, where it starred Danny Mays and enjoyed a sell-out run. Other plays include We Love You, Arthur (New Writing North), Geoff Dead: Disco for Sale (Live Theatre, nominated for Writers’ Guild Award), The Price of Everything (Stephen Joseph Theatre) and her new play Geordie Sinatra, commissioned by SJT and Live, will be produced in Spring 2012 at Live Theatre.

Fiona also writes for TV and radio. A past participant of the BBC Writer's Academy, her credits include multiple episodes of Eastenders, Casualty and Holby City. Her radio drama commissions include Beware the Kids, an hour-long centre piece drama of R3’s Free Thinking Festival 2009 and The Web, a new piece for R3’s innovative Wire slot.

She also writes TV comedy with writing partner Steve Cooper. The Walking Party was picked up by Baby Cow and they are currently developing a new series.
