Francesca Gardiner

Francesca graduated with an MA in Screenwriting from the National Film and Television School in March 2011.

Her animation short, Abuelas, about the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo, was shown as part of a Human Rights Film Night at the Tricycle Theatre and awards include Best Film at the London International Animation Festival, the Golden Mikeldi for Animation at the Bilbao International Festival, and the Arte Short Film Award at the Munich International Festival. It was nominated for a BAFTA for Best Short Animation.

She worked with Frank Spotnitz and Kudos on series 1 of the BBC/HBO series Hunted and is currently developing an original piece for TV.

Francesca also writes for the stage and has penned two short comedies, Change and Round Robin.
