Frederic Casella is an award-winning filmmaker whose short films have screened in festivals around the world.
He learned his craft helming prime-time documentaries for TV networks in the US and UK. Recent observational documentaries examined commitment, loss and social tribes through unusual relationships between people and animals.
In his fiction work, Frederic is equally at home in comedy and drama. His first short, Exit Strategy, a psychological drama about marital murder, screened in competition at Palm Springs while his second short, the surreal romance HeavenScent, made a sizeable profit selling twice to the ProSieben network in Germany. Tooty's Wedding, a comedy and Frederic's fourth film, won a clutch of awards and was selected for competition at the Sundance Film Festival 2012. It has currently attracted over 400,000 hits online.
Anagram, a drama about a family in crisis, is just starting it's festival run while The King, an urban fairytale, is nearing completion.
