Biography

Freya is thirteen and plays the series regular role of Violette Selfridge in ITV1's new ten-part drama Mr Selfridge, which charts the rise and fall of Harry Gordon Selfridge and the birth of London's famous store.

Freya also played the role of the young Princess Elizabeth in The King's Speech, directed by Tom Hooper and featuring Colin Firth as Elizabeth's father King George VI and Geoffrey Rush as the King's speech therapist Lionel Logue. The film received fantastic reviews upon its opening in UK cinemas and success at the British Independent Film Awards at the end of 2010 swiftly followed, where it picked up five awards including Best Film. The King's Speech also received the prestigious People's Choice Award at the Toronto Film Festival, seven Bafta Awards and four Oscars including Best Picture.

The Telegraph's Charles Moore commented on Freya's presence in the film in his review:

"The British people came to love their King precisely because he clearly had no ambition, and yet he did the job all the same, because he knew he must. We are lucky that his daughter (so well depicted in this film) is a chip off the old block."

Freya has also filmed the role of Eliza Reed in Moira Buffini's feature film adaptation of Jane Eyre, directed by Cary Fukunaga for Ruby Films and has also filmed on a short called Elevator Operator.
