Saturday Night and Sunday Morning
Manchester Royal Exchange,
Director Matthew Dunster
Adapted from the late Alan Sillitoe’s first novel, the play tells the raw, aggressive and unapologetic story of working-class life in 1960s Nottingham, as the events of protagonist Arthur Seaton’s Saturday night out and the Sunday morning aftermath unfold on-stage.
Graeme plays Jack, Arthur’s foreman at the factory. Unbeknownst to Jack, Arthur has an affair with his wife Brenda who falls unexpectedly pregnant.
