Hatfields & McCoys makes history with 14.3 million viewers

Popular historical drama, Hatfields & McCoys, starring Ronan Vibert, Katie Griffiths and James Jordan - and also starring Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton - has broken US tv records becoming the most watched, prime-time programme of all time on cable tv.
14.3 million viewers tuned in for the finale of the three part series which features two neighbouring but warring families in West Virginia at the end of the Civil War.
Ronan plays Perry Kline, a lawyer and all round bad guy considered a prime force in keeping the hatred for the Hatfield's alive. Katie plays Alifair McCoy, daughter to Randall and chief protector of her younger brothers and sisters. James plays Reverend Maynard the local preacher.
The miniseries is to be released on Blu-ray and DVD on 31 July in the US.
