Biography

James Erskine is an award-winning writer, director and producer.

As well as directing on a number of well-known UK drama series such as Torchwood and Robin Hood he has a highly successful track record in factual programmes, directing and producing award winning documentaries including his Emmy nominated The Human Face, the acclaimed Who Killed the Honey Bee? and the feature documentary One Night in Turin, which was released nationwide in the run up to the World Cup 2010.

James' latest film Battle of the Sexes tells the story of the most watched tennis match ever between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs. A hugely important moment for women's tennis and the women's equality movement in general. It will be released in the US for PBS American Masters.
