A writer, filmmaker, photographer and creative director, James is the founder and principle partner of Chalk Projects, a London-based Creative Consultancy. His film work has been shown on the BBC, Channel Four and PBS.

In 2003 James founded Teenage Kicks, a ‘five a side for the future’ football tournament now in its ninth year. He has written for The Independent and Vanity Fair.

Twenty-Eight Heroes, his first book, was an Australian bestseller. The Alphabet of the Human Heart was published by Pan Macmillan in Australia in 2009.
