Janey Louise Jones

Janey is a full-time writer and mother of three from Edinburgh. She is a graduate of Edinburgh university, and formerly worked as an English teacher in the city.

Her childhood dream of writing about her alter ego, Princess Poppy, was realised through self-publishing in 2005. When bookshops and readers responded well to the early version, a bidding war ensued, and Janey signed a twelve book deal with Random House later that year. Since then, the series of over 20 titles has sold millions of copies in the UK and internationally. 

Janey lives by the sea with her sons, husband and Buddy the golden labrador. She loves beaches and shells, fairies, crafts, Victorian novels and cinema trips with her family.
