Jason Gardiner is a choreographer, dancer, performer and presenter, best known to UK and Australian audiences for his role as the judge on the hit show, Dancing on Ice. Recently though, Jason swapped ice for tropical heat as he took on the ultimate survival challenge on Discovery UK's Alone in the Wild.
In addition to six seasons on DOI, Jason has been the Fashion Expert on This Morning’s NTA Award winning team since the show’s relaunch two years ago. He was the Culture Guru for Queer Eye for the Straight Guy UK and the UK's correspondent for E! Entertainment, interviewing Hollywood stars for the channel's world famous Red Carpet Moments and the Academy Awards.
Jason began his professional career at just 16, appearing in the original Australian cast of 42nd Street and has since performed in award winning musicals on Broadway and London’s West End, including Cats, Chicago, West Side Story, Oklahoma and My Fair Lady. As an expert choreographer and dancer Jason has also worked with some of the industry’s biggest names from Dame Shirley Bassey to Kylie, and from Cher to Elton John.
Jason appeared as a permanent judge on ITV's entertainment series Born to Shine, which saw the nation's most talented children help celebrities learn a new skill each week: all to raise money for Save the Children. Swapping a seat on the judging panel for a role as one of the ultimate pantomime baddies, Jason also played Abanazar in Aladdin in Llandudno's Christmas production in 2011.
