Jeremy Herrin directs Uncle Vanya at Chichester

Uncle Vanya

April 10, 2012

Jeremy Herrin's production of Chekhov's Uncle Vanya opened at Chichester Festival Theatre on Thursday 5th April to critical acclaim.

Starring Roger Allam  as Vanya and Timothy West as Serebryakov, Uncle Vanya has been brought back to Chichester to celebrate its 50th anniversary because it was staged as part of the first ever season at the theatre.

'An emotionally truthful production, absorbing and affecting, and a testament to Chekhov's characters' Henry Hitchings, Evening Standard

'I'd plump for Roger Allam's fantastically hangdog portrayal in Jeremy Herrin's production in Chichester over Iain Glen's...revival' Dominic Cavendish, The Telegraph

Uncle Vanya will play until 5th May 2012.
