Jeremy Nicholas is an author, broadcaster, lyricist, actor and composer. He won a prestigious Sony Award in 1996 for Green and Pleasant Land: A Portrait of England in Words and Music on Radio 2 and, between 1978 and 1991, wrote the words and music to over 150 topical songs for Radio 4's Stop the Week with Robert Robinson. He is also president of the Jerome K Jerome Society.

Jeremy writes on classical music for a wide range of publications and is the author of the biographies Godowsky: The Pianist's Pianist (Appian 1989) and Chopin: His Life and Music (Naxos 2007) as well as several reference works for Classic FM. He is a regular contributor to Gramophone, Classic FM Magazine and International Piano, and has written the booklets for more than 80 CDs.
