Jermaine Jackson is a singer, record producer, musician and composer. He is the fourth of nine children born to Joseph and Katharine Jackson. Together with his young brothers - including Michael - he started performing in The Jackson Brothers and later The Jackson 5, which became one of the world's most popular bands during the Motown era, with a timeless legacy of hits.
Like Michael, he embarked on a successful solo career while still with the brothers’ group. And while all the brothers remained close, there was a special bond between Michael and Jermaine - who often shared the stage as lead singers.
Michael was widely reported as referring to Jermaine as 'a best friend' as well as a brother, and Jermaine's performance of 'Smile' at his brother's memorial service moved the world.
Jermaine lives in Los Angeles, California.
