Biography

After a PhD in English at Cambridge, Joe was Head of Interactive Entertainment at Diverse before becoming a full-time writer. His critically-acclaimed first feature, The Tichborne Claimant was directed by David Yates and was released in 1999.

He has written numerous original and adapted screenplays for TV and film, including projects with major Hollywood studios and the multi TV BAFTA-winning Soundproof in 2007. His 2012 indie feature Unconditional, directed by Bryn Higgins (released in the US as Unconditional Love), was a Special Selection at Slamdance. His latest feature, Electricity, also directed by Bryn Higgins, stars Agyness Deyn and will be released later this year.

He is currently developing new feature projects with Bryn Higgins, David Yates and Amanda Boyle, and TV series projects with BBC, Company, Red, Endor and ITV Studios.
