I started out over 10 years ago working as an assistant at Cassarotto Ramsay before moving to Curtis Brown in 2002 to build my own list. My main areas of focus are directors, screenwriters in film and television, and playwrights.
I am particularly interested in helping clients to work across film and television and helping playwrights move into screenwriting alongside their work in theatre. I believe in searching out the best material for directors and in encouraging writers to make bold and creative choices.
One of the unique attributes of Curtis Brown as an agency is an almost unparalleled ability to help clients access outstanding literary material. A part of my role involves handling literary rights and I am fortunate enough to work with a list of estates that includes those of Samuel Beckett and Daphne du Maurier as well as many contemporary prize-winning writers.
As a department we enjoy good relationships with the major US agencies and I have brokered introductions for a number of my clients that have led to their gaining US representation.
