John Dickerson

John Dickerson is the former White House correspondent for Time Magazine and is now chief political correspondent for Slate.com.

John's frank and insightful memoir On Her Trail (Simon & Schuster 2006) is about his mother Nancy Dickerson, the first female member of the Washington TV news corps. Nancy was a TV news personality in the 1960s who interviewed presidents, covered inaugurations and assassinations, and was at the centre of society and politics. Years later, her son would cover his mother's exact former beat as a reporter.
