John le Carré supports Peace Direct on Radio 4

John le Carré is to present a BBC Radio 4 appeal on behalf of the charity Peace Direct on Sunday 29 January.

In the broadcast, John le Carré, tells the moving story of Mangana, a mother of seven children in war-torn Congo and the support she receives from a local peacebuilder.

Peace Direct helps local people to build peace in war zones worldwide – stopping violence, saving lives and healing communities. 

The appeal will be broadcast on Sunday 29 January at 7.55am and repeated at 9.26pm the same day, and on Thursday 2 February at 3.27pm. You can listen again to John's message on BBC Radio 4 iPlayer.
