Katie trained as an actor at Rose Bruford College and has worked extensively in theatre and television.

As a writer wrote sitcom, Fallout for Red Planet Pictures, which had a script commission from Channel 4. Katie is currently writing Good Girl Gone Bad, an adapted format for Sony and developing Caravan with Vox , which Maxine Peake is attached to direct.

Katie made the final five in 2013's Screenwriters Goldmine competition with her script, Caravan, and was one of the twelve chosen writers on the 2014, Channel 4 screenwriting course where she wrote comedy script Freaks.

As an actor Katie has appeared in a number of productions, most notably Nick Hytner's His Dark Materials at The National, War & Peace, for Shared Experience and Blackbird at The Market Theatre, Johannesburg.
