Katie trained as an actor at Rose Bruford College and has worked extensively in theatre and television.

As a writer she is currently working on a sitcom, Fallout, with Red Planet Pictures, which has had a script commission from Channel 4. She is also developing a comedy drama, This Way Out, with Noho film and television.

Katie made the final five in 2013's Screenwriters Goldmine competition with her script, Caravan, and was one of the twelve chosen writers on the 2014, Channel 4 screenwriting course.

As an actor Katie has appeared in a number of productions, most notably Nick Hytner's His Dark Materials at The National, War & Peace, for Shared Experience and Blackbird at The Market Theatre, Johannesburg.
