Katy trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and Manchester University. Katy is currently playing the role of Madame Thénardier in Les Misérables (Queen's Theatre), and prior to this appeared as the Queen in Sleeping Beauty (Theatre Royal Plymouth), as Clara in Noël Coward’s Hay Fever (Rose Theatre, Kingston) and as Rosie in the West End production of Mamma Mia.
Her work in theatre also includes; Guys and Dolls, The Winter`s Tale, Mother Clap`s Molly House (National Theatre), Kate in Bedroom Farce (Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough) Madame Thenadier in Les Misérables (West End). Mama Morton in Chicago (National Tour) Mrs Paroo in The Music Man (Festival Theatre Chichester) Peggotty and Mrs Micawber in David Copperfield (County Hall) and Hannah in A Chorus of Disapproval (Wolsey Theatre Ipswich and Mercury Theatre Colchester co-production).
Television work includes Casualty, London`s Burning and the children`s series Megamaths for BBC 2 and Katy has also featured in Twice Brightly for BBC Radio 4.
Katy is co-founder of Pandora’s Box Theatre Company which produces and performs plays for young children.
