Biography

Kevin Cecil and Andy Riley are a writing team who together have written on many of the best loved comedy series of the last decade, including Little Britain, The Friday Night Armistice and Spitting Image. They were the lead writers on the BAFTA winning comedy Black Books and created and wrote the BBC2 comedy, Hyperdrive.

They are producers on series 4 of the HBO comedy Veep starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and were Emmy and WGA nominated for their work on series 3. 

Their adaptation of David Walliams' best selling book Gansta Granny transmitted on Boxing Day 2013 to critical acclaim and watched by more than 9 million people. They followed this up with an adaptation of The Boy in the Dress which broadcast on Boxing Day 2014 which had record viewings once again. 

In January 2011 Andy and Kevin's Gnomeo and Juliet opened internationally to critical acclaim and box office success, grossing over $200 million to date worldwide. Kevin and Andy are currently writing on the sequel, Gnomeo and Juliet: Sherlock Gnomes.
