I’ve been a literary agent in the New York office since 1989. A childhood spent on military bases and attending college in the Pacific Northwest may seem an odd road to publishing, but it’s given me a broad range of interests to explore.

I’m particularly interested in literary fiction, strong narrative nonfiction (memoir, history, science, political and cultural affairs), culinary arts, and stories and projects that can be developed into TV series and feature films. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to represent so many successful fiction and nonfiction authors and national bestsellers and award-winning books, but it’s also an important part of my job to discover and develop new talent.
