Biography

Leigh Campbell is a screenwriter whose debut feature Kicks won her nominations for the Best Newcomer Award at the London Film Festival and for the Michael Powell Award at the Edinburgh Film Festival. She was also selected as one of Skillset's Trailblazers in their annual pick of top new writing talent in the UK. 

Shot by director Lindy Heymann and starring Kerrie Hayes and Nicola Burleigh, Kicks tells the story of two teenage girls who become dangerously obsessed with a young footballer.

Leigh is currently developing an adaptation of the novel Hammer by Sara Stockbridge, Lindy Heymann is attached to direct and Andy Stebbing to produce, the project is being funded by North West Vision.
