Linton Chiswick started out as a jazz editor on Time Out magazine and went on to write on a range of topics for, among others, the Financial Times, The Guardian, The Times and The Evening Standard.

He wrote his first screenplay in 1999 and has since been commissioned by Ruby Films, Film Four and Momentum Pictures. Linton also writes for television, penning episodes of Tiger Aspect's hit comedy Teachers, Shed's long running series Waterloo Road and Endemol's teen drama Paradise Cafe. Currently Linton is part of the writing team on ITV's long-running series Emmerdale and has written multiple episodes.

Linton presents programmes for BBC Radio 3 and is the author of a highly successful property blog, as well as running a personal blog with his news and views.
